The Philips Hue Solo lightstrip is available in North America and Europe. Some images and details of the product were recently leaked in a Best Buy listing. Now, the smart light has been officially announced, alongside a range of other products like the Twilight bedside lamp and Datura ceiling light.
According to the brand, the Solo lightstrip has been designed to provide smart lighting to small or enclosed areas, like a closet, along a skirting board or around a cabinet. The light is flexible, so it can bend round corners and be trimmed to the perfect length. The lightstrip uses RGBWWW LEDs to generate up to 1,700 lumens brightness and comes in three lengths: 10ft/3, 16ft/5m and 33ft/10m. It is worth noting that the lightstrip is not extendable. You can choose the white or color lighting brightness and effects in the Philips Hue app, where you can select from over 60 preset lighting experiences.
You can also adjust the smart lightstrip with voice commands via Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri, and Google Assistant. The Philips Hue Solo lightstrip in 10ft/3, 16ft/5m and 33ft/10m sizes is available for $69.99/£59.99/€69.99, $89.99/£79.99/€89.99 and $159.99/£139.99/€159.99, respectively. The company already sells the Lightstrip Plus 80" at Amazon for $99.99.
