Xiaomi has introduced another WLAN mesh system for the global market. After the AC1200 router (approx. 69 euros on Amazon) went on sale in this country, the Xiaomi Mesh System AC1200 has now been announced.

The new product has recently been listed on the global website of Xiaomi. This means that a global launch is imminent or has already taken place in parts of the world. It is not yet available in Germany. However, the new Xiaomi Mesh System AC1200 will presumably be launched in Germany, as Xiaomi Germany already sells various mesh systems such as the Xiaomi Mesh System AX3000. (from approx. 50 euros at Xiaomi). It is not yet known when the Xiaomi Mesh System AC1200 will be launched in Europe and how much the product will cost. However, it is likely to be quite affordable again.

The global website already reveals the specifications of the Xiaomi Mesh System AC1200. The system consists of one to three routers, depending on the area to be covered. According to the manufacturer, up to 140 square meters can be covered individually, up to 260 square meters with two devices, and up to 370 square meters with a set of three.

The new Xiaomi Mesh System AC1200 operates on the two common bands at 2.4 and 5 GHz and supports up to Wi-Fi 5 (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac). According to Xiaomi, transmission rates of up to 1,200 Mbps are possible. The new mesh set from Xiaomi also has two WAN/LAN ports each with up to 1,000 Mbps for wired networking.
