Xiaomihas registered a new device ahead of its launch with the3Csafety regulator in China, according to widely-regarded leakerDigital Chat Station. Itsupports 5G and works with the OEM's agingMDY-1490W power brick.
Those details might make it all the more disappointing for future Xiaomiflagshipfans, as the tipster asserts that the device, with the model number24129PN74C, is the upcoming successor to the vanilla14.
Accordingly, this new report contradicts an earlier leak suggesting that the "15" would finallyupgradeits wired charging in 2024.
The Xiaomi 15 is also still linked to improvements in terms ofbattery size, which, in light of this new tidbit, might mean it will not be charging any faster either.
On that note, a second and much more cryptic WeibopostfromDigital Chat Station describes a dual-cell2,980mAh battery that would have a rated capacity of 5,960mAh, but atypicalcapacity of 6,100mAh.
As a "120W" value (likethecharging speed of the14 Pro(now$769.50on Amazon))is also mentioned, this tip just might refer to theXiaomi 15'sProsibling.
