The Vivo X200 Ultrais now projected to boast a potentially class-leadingperiscope zoom lens among Androidsmartphones, in that it will boast a200MP"super telephoto" fixed-aperturemodule.
Then again, theX100 Ultra(now starting at€857(~$924) via TradingShenzhen) also debuted with a rear camera of the same specs: a world-first in its case. However, its rumored successor is now tipped to augment it with a secondperiscope zoom of 50MP in resolution.
The 2 sophisticated lenses may have macro and low-light functions respectively, according to typically reliable leakerDigital Chat Station. They may be joined by 2 more 50MP shooters for a grand total of4 rear cameras, as opposed to 3 in theX100 Ultra.
Accordingly, its X200-series counterpart might be better equipped to tackle its closest rival the OPPOFind X8 Ultra, whose forebear seemed to grab all theattentionandaccoladesin 2024 with itsdualperiscope zoom lenses, even though both were 50MP in resolution.
The X200 Ultra will also apparently debut with the Snapdragon8 Gen 4(or "SM8750") platform for next-gen top-end Android handsets, although little else is known about the device to date. However, it will probably have a design similar to that of the rest of theX200 serieswhen it is unleashedin October 2024.
