The iPhone 16 lineup brought new high-end flagships to the market, and with the launch of Snapdragon 8 Gen 4and Dimensity 9400, new Apple competitors will be emerging soon. Among them will be the devices within the Vivo X200 series, which the company's Vice President and General Manager of Brand and Product Strategy has just shared initial details of.

Jia Jingdong says that the X200 series will have some of the "most noteworthy" flagships released at the end of this year. In a lengthy Weibo post, Jia shares that the upcoming Android smartphones in the lineup will have flat displays, just like the phones in the iPhone 16 range.

Per Jia, that is an important aspect for those who are switching from Apple, as these users are already accustomed to flat screens. Jia also mentions that the Vivo X200 series will sport custom-designed sensors and imaging chips. The X100 Ultra (12/256 GB curr. $944.38 on TradingShenzen) is already praised for its camera setup, and per the Weibo post, it seems that the upcoming phones will push the camera performance further.

Moreover, Jia has confirmed that the X200 series will feature phones with high-capacity batteries and top-end chipsets supported by the "blue crystal chip technology stack." On the software side, the upcoming Vivo phones will feature on-device AIfeatures, which most of the new flagship phones are investing heavily in.

There will be other upgrades on the Origin OS 5 (based on Android 15) that will run on the Vivo X200 series. Jia says that the operating system will offer more natural interactions than before and will offer personalized service recommendations.

While Jia didn't mention any specific details, the upcoming Vivo X200 is rumored to feature the Dimensity 9400, a 6.3-inch flat screen, a V3 imaging chip, and a large 5,600 mAh battery. Vivo is expected to announce the new flagships in the third week of August.
