The Sveaverken Blix is a new robotic lawn mower that will launch soon. As with other recent releases like the TerraMow, the mower does not rely on boundary wires or antennas. Instead, it uses LiDAR and RGB sensors to map your lawn, intelligently planning the best mowing route while avoiding obstacles.

The Blix is suited to areas up to 3,000 m² (~0.85 acres), and you can manually drive the robot around your garden to mark out no-go zones during set-up. Grass clippings are left behind to act as a fertilizer for your yard, and a rain sensor ensures the robot only mows in appropriate conditions. The lawn mower can climb slopes up to 65% (33°) and optional skid plates to prevent slipping on wet grass.

With Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 4G connectivity, controls are offered via the Sveaverken app, available for iOS and Android, where you can adjust the cutting height, customize the mowing pattern and set up a schedule. It is unclear when the Sveaverken Blix will go on sale and how much it will cost. Potential customers can request a quote from the company by filling out a short form on its website.
