Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 yet again misses a spot in AnTuTu mid-range phone ranking

Qualcomm released the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 as a new top-end mid-range SoC. Its performance is between the last-gen Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. While phones featuring this new SoC have been in the market for a while (12/512 GB Poco F6 curr. $387.50 on Amazon), they have yet to make a debut in AnTuTu's mid-range ranking.

The last list did not have any, and the story isn't different for the latest top-performing mid-range Android phone ranking. It's likely that the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 devices aren't meeting the core requirements of these rankings. One criterion, in particular, requires smartphones to pass at least a thousand valid benchmark runs throughout the month.

Besides that, the latest top-performance mid-range phone ranking is largely unchanged from the last one. More specifically, all the devices have the same positions as the previous ranking, except for the one in the 10th position. On the last list, it was the iQOO Z9 in that place, and this time, it was replaced by the Oppo K10 5G.

When it comes to the phones in the other positions, they are as follows:

  • OnePlus Ace 3V at 1st position with Snapdragon 7 Gen 3
  • Realme GT Neo6 SE at 2nd position with Snapdragon 7 Gen 3
  • Redmi K70E at 3rd position with Dimensity 8200 Ultra
  • Realme GT Neo5 SE at 4th position with Snapdragon 7 Gen 2
  • Redmi Note 12 Turbo at 5th position with Snapdragon 7 Gen 2
  • iQOO Z8 at 6th position with Dimensity 8200
  • iQOO Neo7 SE at 7th position with Dimensity 8200
  • OnePlus Ace Racing Edition at 8thposition with Dimensity 8100 Max
  • Redmi Note 12T Pro at 9th position with Dimensity 8200

Overall, per AnTuTu's mid-range ranking, the mid-range Android phones with Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 are the current best picks if you prioritize performance. However, note that the synthetic benchmark is just one of the few factors you need to consider when purchasing a smartphone. You should also factor in camera, display, software, and others.
