There are plenty of spooky happenings around the world of Ravenwood in The Sims 4: Life & Death expansion, and if you've moved into one of the pre-made lots on the house, then you've no doubt noticed that starter tarot deck in your living room.
There are 26 cards in the tarot deck, and while you can do some basic readings with the deck you've got, there's a whole society in Ravenwood trying to reassemble the scattered pieces of a legendary tarot deck. By exploring the world and doing favors for its most iconic residents, you'll find new tarot cards.
This Sims 4: Life & Death tarot card guide is a work in progress - keep checking back, since we'll update it regularly as we unlock new cards around Ravenwood as we keep getting deeper into the expansion pack.
One of the new collections added to The Sims 4's already expansive list of collections, the tarot deck is one of the more labor-intensive to collect, since you'll be obtaining cards in a variety of ways as you explore different aspects of the pack. Coming from plenty of sources - side quests, special interactions, and more - you've got your work cut out for you if you want to obtain all 26 total tarot cards in the deck.
As collections, you can view which tarot cards you've already obtained by clicking the diamond shape at the top of your Sim's inventory to open the Household Collections menu.
Before you can collect cards, though, you'll need to be given the task of helping the Order of Lenore, an odd group trying to reassemble the legendary tarot card rumored to be scattered throughout Ravenwood. You can trigger the search for the tarot cards in The Sims 4: Life & Death by investigating the mysterious tome statues in the various Ravenwood neighborhoods.
After you've investigated one of these tomes, you'll receive a pop-up welcoming you to the quest to reassemble this legendary tarot card deck. On the pop-up, you'll see four Sims named, and get used to them, since you'll need to talk to each Sim listed on the pop-up to work on reassembling your tarot card deck.
Once you've begun these quests, you can find tarot cards in a number of different ways! The goal is to see and do the majority of things added in the pack, and there's quite a lot of them.
The primary way you'll be finding them, at least at first and on purpose, is by accepting errands for the Sims named on the tarot pop-up. Once you've formally been introduced to them, you can invite them over or meet them out someplace for your next quest. These Sims make up the Order of Lenore, and they are:
When you're interacting with any of these Sims, you've got the option to ask about tarot cards for a hint and what they know about the collection. You can also choose to accept quests from these Sims from the Activities panel in the Friendly interactions menu that lead you to receiving a tarot card in exchange. These four Sims have two quests each, which means that a solid third of your tarot deck will be coming from them.
When you've accepted one of these quests, you'll find the details of it in the Work panel of your Sim's info, right under their career information and schedule if they're employed. Hover over each task to receive a hint on how to go about completing it. And be prepared to work - these Sims want some truly peculiar things.
But what about the remaining tarot cards? You'll find those from checking out the new additions in the pack. Life & Death is one of the richest expansions we've had in quite some time, and the team wants you to see it all! You can find tarot cards at festivals, from interacting with new items or landmarks, talking to the crows around the world, and so much more.
If you're interacting with something and you see the tarot card symbol on an item's interaction menu, your best bet will usually be to click it - you're likely to earn a new card this way, or at the very least info on where to get a new tarot card. It'll often ask your Sim to Use Intuition to find new tarot cards.
In the table below, we've kept track of how we obtained every tarot card in The Sims 4: Life & Death expansion pack. This includes who you'll need to talk to in order to start the quest, what you'll need to do, and which tarot card you'll add to your deck as you finish each quest.
If you're missing any of the cards below, hovering over them in the Household Collections tab provides a hint, often cryptically encoded. We've simplified it all for you in the table below.
