In the meantime, Android Authority claims to have discovered various Galaxy Ring features within the latest version of the Samsung Health app. Please note that the website found the functionality shown below by unpacking the app's APK. Thus, there is a chance that Samsung may change UI elements or some features altogether by the time that the Galaxy Ring reaches public release.

For now though, it seems that Samsung intends to allow the Galaxy Ring to measure not just heart rate and stress levels, but also skin temperature and snoring frequency. Samsung will continue to limit its skin temperature monitoring to menstrual cycle tracking though, which is the case with its recent Galaxy Watch smartwatches. On top of that, the Galaxy Ring does not have a built-in microphone. As such, snore detection requires having a paired smartphone nearby when sleeping. Unfortunately, other details remain unknown at the time of writing, including whether the Galaxy Ring will support contactless payments via a built-in NFC module.
