So far, most of Samsung Galaxy S25 leaks have focused more on the Plus and Ultra variants. There have been conflicting rumours about the latter's camera upgrades. Meanwhile, the vanilla Galaxy S25 is slated to get new camera sensors and a slightly larger 6.36-inch screen (vs. 6.2 inches on the Galaxy S24). Unfortunately, this is not supplemented by a corresponding increase in battery capacity.
Galaxyclub.nl has heard from its sources that the Samsung Galaxy S25 will use its predecessor's 4,000 mAh cell. It is also the first time in three generations that an entry-level Galaxy S smartphone has not received an increase in battery capacity. This also puts to rest rumours about the Galaxy S25 series getting "EV-style" batteries, as those usually come with an increase in energy density.
Plus, Samsung has no plans to increase the memory capacity on either Galaxy S25 variant, either. The stagnant battery capacity could be problematic as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 has been rumoured to be quite power hungry. On the other hand, the Exynos 2500 might get away unscathed, as it is said to be more power efficient than its Qualcomm counterpart.
