Powkiddy has now started selling the RGB10X, which has arrived roughly a fortnight after initial details about the device leaked online. As expected, Powkiddy has decided to offer its latest gaming handheld in three colours, which it sells as Black Transparent, Grey and Yellow. Additionally, the company provides the option of configuring 64 GB or 128 GB MicroSD cards from the factory.
With that being said, the RGB10X has a secondary MicroSD card slot for adding more games than the stock MicroSD can handle. For reference, the device measures 145 x 73.2 x 17 mm. As such, it features a comparatively small display and a low-capacity battery. Specifically, Powkiddy has included a 2,800 mAh battery that it rates for up to eight hours of playtime. Unfortunately, the reliance on slow charging technology means that the battery will take roughly two hours to reach a full charge.
Nonetheless, the RGB10X also has a 3.5-inch IPS display with a 640 x 480 resolution that Powkiddy complements with a Rockchip RK3326 chipset and 1 GB of LPDDR3L RAM. As a result, the RGB10X will only be about as powerful as the much older RGB20S (curr. $79.99 on Amazon). Currently, the RGB10X is available for $39.99 or $49.99 with a 128 GB MicroSD card. At the time of publication, Powkiddy hopes to begin shipments on September 25.
