Four new Philips Hue Lightguide smart bulbs have finally arrived, following rumors earlier this year. They have joined the existing Ellipse model, which launched in 2022. As expected, there are now five shapes to choose from: Small Globe, Large Globe, Triangle, Edison and Ellipse.
The Lightguide bulbs are described as premium, with reflective handblown glass over the inner tube. These bulbs are designed to be on show; you can buy accessories, including the pendant cord and new 3D-printed table lamp base. The products offer dimmable white and colored lighting with up to 500 lumens brightness. The lighting is customizable via the Philips Hue app, where you can choose from scenes or select your color. Alternatively, you can control the bulbs with Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri or Google Assistant voice commands.
You can buy the new Philips Hue Lightguide Triangle and Large Globe bulbs for $99.99/€99.99. The Small Globe and Edison versions are slightly cheaper at $79.99/€79.99. The Ellipse sits in the middle of the range at $89.99/€89.99. The bulbs arrived as part of a broader product release from the company, alongside other smart lights like the Hue Solo lightstrip.
