Philips Hue has launched the Tento round ceiling light in the EU. The model arrives at the same time as the Datura ceiling light, which is also on sale in Europe. There are many versions of the Tento light, including White, White Ambiance, and White and Color Ambiance versions, three sizes, and black or white frames to choose from.
The Tento has a single LED light source, while the Datura has two, said to last for up to 25,000 hours. Like Datura, it features ultra-low dimming, though its peak brightness is lower at 3,500 lumens compared to the 4,850 lumens of the other model. Remote controls are available via the Philips Hue app, and the smart light is also compatible with accessories like the Hue dimmer switch. Appearance-wise, Tento has a thicker bezel than Datura, with the company suggesting it is more functional and therefore suited to a large closet or garage, while the Datura is designed to be on show in a living room or bedroom.
The price of the Philips Hue Tento round ceiling light range starts at €69.99 for the 29.1 cm White version and goes up to €199.99 for the 54.2 cm White and Color Ambiance variant. You can find a complete price list below. While the product is listed on its website, it is not yet on sale, with potential customers invited to sign up for email notifications regarding its availability. The company has not announced plans to launch the product in markets like the US, where it sells other models like the Infuse M ceiling light.
