Oppo just introduced the F27 Pro 5G, a new mid-range smartphone with an IP69 rating.This means it's been tested to withstand high-temperature water jets, a feature usually reserved for rugged handsets (Ulefone Power Armor 14 Pro curr. $209.99 on Amazon).
Up front is a curved AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2,412 × 1,080, 120 Hz maximum refresh rate, and 950 nits of peak brightness. It's protected by a sheet of Gorilla Glass Victus 2, with the 8-megapixel selfie camera sitting in a punch-hole cutout.On the back, there's a dual-camera system consisting of a 64-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel portrait shooter.
The phone features a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset paired with 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and either 128 GB or 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Keeping the lights on is a 5,000 mAh battery that can charge at up to 67 W. When it comes to software, theF27 Pro 5G ships with Oppo's ColorOS 14.0 based on Android 14, with the handset boasting Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 support.
The Oppo F27 Pro 5G is already available for preorder in India in two colorways — Dusk Pink and Midnight Navy. The base model with 8 GB of memory and 128 GB of storage goes for INR 27,999 (~$335), while the variant with double the storage will set buyers back INR 29,999 (~$359).
