OnePlus has now confirmed that the Buds Pro 3 come in new, vertically flattened egg-shaped cases in new Lunar Radiance and Midnight Opus colorways and with 43 hours of total up-time per charge. Then again, this substantial design change is accompanied by a new "leather-like" texture for improved grip.
OnePlus asserts that the buds contained inside pack its latest and greatest dual-driver, dual-DAC technology for clarity in both treble and bass, with "precision" tuning in partnership withDynaudio.
The Buds Pro 3 are also rated for the brand's most powerful (and also most personalized) real-time adaptive noise cancellation features to date, along with head-tracking for their spatial audio and Google Fast Pair.
They are rated for up-to-date Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity with support for the LHDC 5.0 codec - although enabling it might require pairing with a compatible smartphone, like the OnePlus 12 (currently starting for $699.99 on Amazon).
Accordingly, the Buds Pro 3 might indeed be the most cutting-edge audio peripherals from OnePlus to date - even if they are in fact an iterative upgrade over the Buds 3 as rumored.
On that note, the alleged price delta compared to the Buds Pro 2 is real - unless you are located in the United States, where they are $179.99 as before.
Then again, OnePlus has also now unleashed various potential launch-day purchase incentives, which also include CA$40 off their starting price in Canada.
The Buds Pro 3 are available to order in the US, Canada and Europe from now, and from August 23, 2024 in India.
