Newly constructed dark energy trap could confirm theory of dark matter

The effort required to capture something that is actually intangible is considerable to say the least. A specially designed vacuum system is used to generate a temperature close to absolute zero in an airless room.

The lithium atoms placed there are cooled to -273 °C (-459 °F) using lasers. Then there will be less than two tenths of a degree left before complete standstill is reached.

It is precisely under these conditions that dark energy should - theoretically - also solidify. It is actually about the dark domain walls, which are coupled with a scalar field. Energy values and mutual influences are related to this.

These walls in turn separate areas of different energy orientations from each other, which is why it is important to solidify them in a vacuum and at minimum temperature. It is compared to the freezing of water. The chaotic particles sort themselves into crystals.

But wherever the orientation of the molecules changes, there are tiny defects. These become visible through the refraction of light. And this is exactly how dark matter should be made visible. The domain walls are the areas where defects can be found.

All that is then needed is a cloud of ultracold atoms, which is passed through these "dark walls" inside the trap. If the experiment is successful, this cloud of atoms is deflected. This would provide evidence that dark matter and energy could be measured under extreme conditions.

Of course, the experiment and the entire design of the experimental set-up are based on the theoretical assumption of the existence of dark domain walls, which can also be controlled. If the deflection succeeds, the theory would have gained enormously in significance. If the proof, which is to be provided within a year, does not succeed, the next theory will have to take over.
