Successors of the Redmi Note 13 series phones are expected to land in about three months. While Xiaomi hasn't said anything about the new lineup, the first few details of the Redmi Note 14 Pro have leaked. This leak comes from Digital Chat Station, a known Weibo tipster.
The leakster reports that the Note 14 Pro will feature a 50 MP "large" main camera. To compare, the Note 13 Pro 5G had a 200 MP primary sensor on the back. Digital Chat Station hasn't shared which specific sensor this 50 MP unit is, but it could be the Sony Lytia LYT-600.
While that would be good news for Redmi Note 14 Pro, the bad part is that the tipster reported that the phone would not have any telephoto sensor. The predecessor didn't come with one either. Xiaomi paired the 200 MP sensor with an 8 MP ultrawide and a 2 MP macro on the Note 13 Pro5G.
Besides sharing that little info on the primary camera, Digital Chat Station reported that the Note 14 Pro will feature a 1.5K display. It will reportedly be a "micro-curved" screen with a centered punch-hole. The Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G (available on Amazon) had similar display specs, so we may not see an upgrade in this regard.
These are all that the Weibo tipster has shared for now, but the new series has previously appeared in the IMEI database. That pointed to the potential launch timeline being in September, which makes sense because the Redmi Note 13 Pro launched in September of last year in China.
