The Koss Porta Pros have long been a cult favorite since their release in 1984. Their iconic design and unrivaled sound-to-cost performance have kept fans excited through all of the legendary series' iterations. The Porta Pro Wireless is no exception and, as a bonus, offers a major design change never before seen on the Porta Pro.
The first significant feature is that the Porta Pro Wireless uses Bluetooth 5.2 for wireless connectivity. Although it is not the latest Bluetooth protocol, the energy efficiency of Bluetooth 5.2 is sure to aid battery life with Porta Pro Wireless boasting a 20-plus hour playtime. Additionally, users can take calls and control volume with a built-in microphone and audio control. Charging is achieved via USB-C; however, in case the Porta Pro Wireless runs out of battery, The USB-C port offers analog audio pass-through capabilities with the included USB-C to 3.5 mm cord.
The biggest design change is the dual steel headband. Unlike the single steel version, the dual-band headband transmits audio between the two drivers, making the unit truly wireless. Much to the delight of fans, Porta Pro Wireless uses the same 60-ohm drivers found in original Porta Pros. The drivers are known for producing deep bass, crisp highs, and superior midrange from 15-25,000 Hz.
The Porta Pro Wireless is now on sale on Amazon for $99, but future users can also find it on the Koss website including a promotional offer.
