iQOO touted theZ9 Turboas anAndroid smartphone capable of beating its Redminamesakewith a larger 6,000mAh battery. However, its upcoming Plus variant is now officially slated to do even better in this vein.
The OEM has just confirmed that the device will debut with the same kind of upgrade also forecast fornext-genAndroid flagships, as it will boast a series-first6,400mAhbattery on its September 24, 2024 launch.
TheZ9 Turbo has the same newBlue Oceantechnology from iQOO parentVivoas the newY300 Pro, thereby underpinning the impression that it will also serve as a hardware preview of what is tocome afterit.
The Turbo has also been confirmed as aDimensity 9300 device at last: MediaTek's "most powerful flagship chip"...until the9400comes along, of course.
Accordingly, theZ9 Turbo seems poised to act as a swansong for the 2023-24 cycle of high-end smartphones foriQOO. Going by legendary leaker Digital Chat Station's preliminary endorsement of the device as the "1.5K flat-screen performance smartphone you are looking for", it might well be a good one, too.
