Although Intel's presence in this market is barely noticeable compared to Nvidia's, the tech giant has been releasing driver updates on a regular basis for its GPUs. Yesterday, the WHQL-certified 31.0.101.5590 graphics driver package arrived. In addition to the dedicated Arc and Iris Xe solutions, it also supports Intel Core Ultra processors that integrate Intel Arc graphics.
The main highlight of the software update mentioned above is zero-day support for Destiny 2: The Final Shape and Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. Compared to version 31.0.101.5534, the new driver also comes with up to 16% FPS improvement in Chivalry 2 at 1080p with Medium settings, as well as an increase of up to 6% at 1080p with Extreme settings for Crysis 2. In both cases, the improvements were measured while running the games in DirectX 11 mode.
In addition to the performance improvements, the new driver also irons out the crashes encountered in No Rest for the Wicked while playing in DirectX 11 mode on Intel Arc A-Series GPUs. Those interested in giving Intel GPUs a chance can get the Sparkle Intel Arc A770 Titan OC Edition (SA770T-16GOC) off Amazon for $319.99.
