Just in time for the 2024 holiday season, NIU has released two new low-cost electric scooters as part of their new KQi 100 series. The KQi 100P and The KQi 100F perform better than many mid-teir scooters available on the market and come in at hundreds of dollars less. NUI has also expanded its partnership with retailers to ensure that the KQi 100 series is widely available.
With only a few key differences, NUI makes deciding between the two simple by including many of the same specs between the two scooters. Highlights for the KQi 100P and KQi 100F include:
Both electric scooters will have access to a host of new features in the NUI app. Users can change motor settings to control a minimum glide speed needed to engage the motor and enable a "chill" mode that makes acceleration smoother. A charge limit setting is also available to help prevent battery aging. Other shared features are the black colorway, LED display, bi-fold design, and front drum brakes with rear regenerative braking.
The KQi 100F is the premium option for the KQi 100 series, incorporating quality-of-life features to enhance the user experience. Retailing for $449, it comes standard with collapsible handlebars and turn signals, making transporting the scooter much more manageable and improving visibility. Availability for the KQi100F will begin in October.
Comparatively, the KQi 100P lacks these premium features but retails for $100 dollars less, at $349. Releasing slightly sooner, the KQi 100P will be available starting next week.
