Asus has revealed a new Lunar Lake-powered thin-and-light laptop, the ZenBook S14. It comes in two colourways, Scandinavian White and Zumaia Grey and weighs just 2.65 lbs (1.2 kg), thanks to its CNC unibody chassis made of what Asus calls Ceraluminum. Asus uses a bi-layer graphite sheet and a dual-fan solution to keep the already power-efficient Lunar Lake chips cool.
The Asus ZenBook S14 comes with a 14-inch, 3K (2,880 x 1,800) OLED panel with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, 500 nits peak brightness, 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage, and a 90% screen-to-body ratio. Asus' OLED Care software reduces chances of burn-in by shifting pixels across the screen whenever it is idle. Asus claims its OLED panel emits 70% lesser blue light, thus making it easier on your eyes.
For the CPU, the Asus ZenBook S14 can be configured with an Intel Core Ultra 7 256V or Core Ultra 7 258V. The former will get you 16 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 RAM and the latter 32 GB. You can pair it with a 1 TB NVMe SSD. For I/O, you get two Thunderbolt 4.0 ports, one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port, one HDMI 2.1 port, and one 3.5 mm audio jack. Lastly, the laptop draws power from a 72 Wh battery that charges at 65 Watts.
Other Asus ZenBook S14 specs include Wi-Fi 7, a 1080p IR webcam with Windows Hello, Bluetooth 5.4 and a quad-speaker array tuned by Harman Kardon. You can buy the new Asus ZenBook S14 now starting at $1,400 for the Core Ultra 5 model and $1,500 for the Core Ultra 7. The former can be purchased via Best Buy, while the latter is exclusive to Asus' online store.
