HP has announced a new laptop with Qualcomm processors. The HP OmbiBook X can be configured with a Snapdragon X Elite X1E-78-100 or a Snapdragon X Plus X1P-42-100. HP already showed off an OmniBook X variant with the former, but latter was recently announced and is currently the weakest processor of the lot. At 2.97 lb (1.34 kg), it is easily one of the more portable laptops on the market.
You can configure your HP OmniBook X with 16 GB or 32 GB of LPDDR5X-8488 MT/s memory and pair it with a 512 GB/1 TB/2 TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD. Currently, Qualcomm does not offer dGPU support with any of its SoCs, so you have to make do with the integrated Adreno iGPU. For the screen, you can pick between three options:
Other HP OmniBook X specs include a 5 MP IR camera with Windows Hello, one USB 4.0 port, one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port, one USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A port, a 3.5mm audio jack and gigabit Ethernet. For wireless connectivity, you get Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3. However, some models might be restricted to Wi-Fi 6E. A 59 Wh battery powers the laptop and it can be charged at 65 Watts via USB-C. You an purchase it in October starting at $1,799.
