It seems that HMD could be plotting a slightly more premium version of a smartphone it released earlier this year. Specifically, @smashx_60 alleges that the company has developed the Vibe Pro, which would sit above the Vibe (curr. $149.99 on Amazon) in its recent product stack.
The changes between the pair may be relatively minor, though. Dealing with similarities first,@smashx_60claims that the Vibe Pro centres on a 6.56-inch IPS display with a 90 Hz refresh rate. Although that is unchanged from the Vibe, HMD is said to have bumped the display's resolution from 720p to 1080p. Similarly, while the Vibe Pro is expected to utilise the same Snapdragon 680 chipset as the regular Vibe, it will do so with 33% more RAM.
On top of that, HMD Global is rumoured to complement 8 GB of RAM with a 5,000 mAh battery, which would be a 25% upgrade over its non-Pro sibling. Furthermore,@smashx_60believes that the Vibe Pro will feature 50 MP primary, 2 MP secondary and 50 MP front-facing cameras. Currently, the leaker reports that HMD Global intends to release the Vibe Pro in North America for roughly $179; it remains to be seen when that will be the case, though.
