Samsung has still not said anything official about the Galaxy Z Fold6 yet. Nonetheless, Evan Blass has now revealed the exact date of the company's next Galaxy Unpacked date, full details of which we have covered in another article. As expected, Samsung will present new products on July 10, one of which is expected to be the Galaxy Z Fold6.
In the meantime, SmartPrix has somehow managed to obtain a full specification sheet for Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold5 (curr. $899 - refurbished on Amazon) successor. Ultimately, multiple similarities exist between theGalaxy Z Fold5and Galaxy Z Fold6. As a result, we will focus on their differences, such as the switch from a 10.8:9 to 10.5:9 aspect ratio for the latter's internal display.
For reference, the Galaxy Z Fold's internal display still measures 7.6-inches across and relies upon a 120 Hz LTPS Super AMOLED display. However, its resolution has dropped from 1,856 x 2,160 pixels to 1,812 x 2,716 pixels, which explains the aspect ratio change from last year's model. Elsewhere, it appears that the Galaxy Z Fold6 will carry over other hardware found in theGalaxy Z Fold5, including its 4,440 mAh battery and five camera sensors.
However, it seems that Samsung has included an obligatory chipset upgrade, this time to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy. Based on recent rumours, the Galaxy Z Fold6 will retail for $100 more than its predecessor. Incidentally, Samsung may reserve the release of its rumoured 'Ultra' branded Galaxy Z Fold6 to a few countries, the latest rumours of which we have covered separately.
