Dirty Water is a surprisingly precious commodity in Fallout 4’s stellar mod. If you can’t find any, you’re not alone. Let me explain everything in our Dirty Water farming and locations guide for Fallout London.
Dirty Water is a crafting material in Fallout London, and you can use it to create food items and drinks. If you’re desperate, you can consume raw Dirty Water to restore 20 hit points. The downside is you gain 7 Rads, so you may prefer something else to quench your thirst.
The item is functionally identical to how it is in Fallout 4, although the Tea Station doesn’t exist without the Fallout London mod.
Unfortunately, Dirty Water is obnoxiously difficult to find in Fallout London. I consciously tried to hunt for Dirty Water for multiple hours and found only one in about six hours of gameplay.
You can find Dirty Water in miscellaneous loot spawns, like bins, but it’s unreliable. There is technically a way to obtain a decent amount of Dirty Water, but you may not like the methods.
We will update this guide if Dirty Water’s rarity is updated. Fallout London is a little rough around the edges. Fortunately, many common bugs and errors are fixable with a little knowhow.
Dirty Water is easily obtainable on the Survivor difficulty of Fallout London. Survivor mode is relentlessly challenging, but if you interact with any body of water while holding an Empty Bottle, you can fill it with Dirty Water.
This mechanic probably seems useless if you’re already playing on a lower difficulty, but I have a solution. There’s a popular Fallout 4 Mod called Unlimited Survival Mode, which is compatible with Fallout London. I’ve not had any luck with this Mod, but many users have reported success. You can switch between difficulties with Ultimate Survival Mode to fill the bottles and return to what you were doing afterward.
Alternatively, you can open your Command Console. The key for this differs depending on where you’re based, but it’s “Tilde” (the button underneath ESC) in the US.
Type in player.additem 000366bf 100. Press Enter once, then Tilde to close the Console. The command drops 100 Dirty Water’s into your Inventory. Don’t worry, I won’t tell.
We’ll update this guide if a reliable source of Dirty Water is found, but Modding or Console Commands are the best way to get the item for now.
If you’re up for a collectathon in London, why not try and track down the Beer Coasters? These elusive items are hard to find but offer permanent stat boosts as a reward.
