Recently, Dynabook announced the Dynabook Portégé X40L-M with Meteor Lake chips. The company has now unveiled its cheaper variant, the Dynabook Portégé X40-M. It keeps essential features, such as two Thunderbolt 4.0 ports and 14-0inch 1,900 x 1,200 screen, and an optional 5 MP camera with Windows Hello functionality.
Unlike its L-branded version the Dynabook Portégé X40-M offers Intel's Meteor Lake-U processors on top of their H counterparts. You can pick between an Core Ultra 5 125U, Core Ultra 5 135U, Core Ultra 7 155U, Core Ultra 7 165U, Core Ultra 5 125H, Core Ultra 5 135H, Core Ultra 7 155H and Core Ultra 7 165H. Dynabook hasn't specified how much RAM comes with the laptop, but 16 GB seems a minimum, given it supports Intel's Arc iGPU. For storage, you can configure it with up to a 2 TB NVMe SSD.
Other Dynabook Portégé X40L-M specs include two USB-A ports, one RH-45 Ethernet jack, one HDMI port, one micro SD card slot, a powe button that doubles up as a fingerprint sensor, one 3.5 mm audio jack and Wi-Fi 6. It measures 13.2 mm x 221.75 mm x 18.6 mm and weighs 1.44 kgs (3.17 lbs). A 60 Wh battery powers the laptop via a barrel pin connector. It also comes with a dedicated Copilot key to invoke Windows 11's AI assistant. You can buy the Dynabook Portégé X40L-M today starting at $1,499.
