The M2 Apple iPad Pro series launched back in 2022 with Apple's desktop-class SoC powering the show, and while they're not quite as powerful as the recently launched iPad Pro series, they are still perfectly capable as general-purpose, media consumption, and even gaming tablets. At the time of writing, Best Buy is running a sale on the entire Apple iPad Pro M2 line-up, with discounts ranging from $400 at the entry-level to $800 at the high-end. This means you can get much of the utility and experience of the newer 2024 iPad Pro for less, or opt for a higher storage tier for the same price.

We reviewed both the 11-inch M2 iPad Pro 4th-gen and 12.9-inch M2 iPad Pro 6th-gen models, and we found that, regardless of the size, both the 11-inch LCD iPad and 12.9-inch mini-LED display performed admirably in our benchmarks, exhibiting well over 600 nits maximum brightness — although we were never able to push the 12.9-inch mini-LED to its claimed 1,600-nit peak in HDR mode. Regardless, both iPad Pro versions also had exceptional colour accuracy, with the 12.9-inch iPad Pro covering 99.7% of the sRGB colour gamut and a solid 75.2% of the DCI-P3 colour space with deltaE values well below the minimum value of 2 required for photo and video editing work.

Possibly the biggest drawback when it comes to the 2022 iPad Pro M2 range is that they aren't compatible with the new Apple Pencil Pro, although both the 11-inch variant and the 12.9-inch model are compatible with the Apple Pencil 2nd generation, with support for Hover functionality, to boot.
