Google just launched the Pixel Watch 3, bringing with it a number of advanced health-tracking features. While the Pixel Watch 3 looks to be an impressive smartwatch, its launch is also good news for more budget-constrained smartwatch buyers, since the previous flagship Google Pixel Watch 2 has been discounted by 25% on Amazon, resulting in a record-low price of $299.99.
Down from a regular retail price of $399.99, the Google Pixel Watch 2 LTE features many of the same Fitbit health and wellness features as the new smartwatch, such as accurate heart rate tracking, stress management, and safety features, like fall detection. In our review of the Google Pixel Watch 2 LTE, we found the GPS tracking to be as accurate as our benchmark Garmin Venu 2(curr. $279.99 on Amazon), while finding a GPS signal was also impressively snappy.
We also found the 1.2-inch OLED display of the Pixel Watch 2 to be very bright, topping out at 907 nits, making it perfectly legible even in sunny conditions. That OLED display also allows the 41 mm smartwatch to have a customisable always-on display, while Wear OS makes the watch plenty customisable with third-party apps and integrations.
While the Pixel Watch 2 LTE is available in a host of different colours, only the black variant with the Obsidian active band is discounted.
