The Apple iPad 9th generation was discontinued in May, but third-party retailers still have it up for grabs, and Amazon has just made the tablet more affordable than before. Thanks to the 32% deal, 64 GB iPad 9 WiFi is now down to $224, a solid $105 discount from what it generally sells for.

While this 2021 tablet has dated hardware, especially when compared to the newer iPad Promode with Apple M4 SoC, it's still a good pick for those who don't need a powerhouse. Under the hood, the iPad 9 features the Apple A13 Bionic, the same chip that powered the iPhone 11 lineup.

When we reviewed this Apple tablet in 2021, we noted that the A13 had what it takes to run most day-to-day apps with ease. The same applies now, but don't expect blazing-fast performance while running resource-intensive applications. We also mentioned that the chip had enough GPU power to run all the games that were available in the App Store back then.

Again, you could say the same thing now, but on graphically intensive games, you will need to lower the visuals a bit to get a decent gaming experience. But the 2021 iPad 9 can do a lot more than gaming and running day-to-day apps. It still has decent support for accessories, including a folio keyboard that lets you stay productive while being on the go.

You can also purchase Apple Penciland get creative on the big screen. Speaking of which, the iPad 9th generation comes with a 10.2-inch display that can get reasonably bright. The battery life is also great, and we liked the high-quality aluminum unibody of the tablet.
