It's been just a few months since HP released the AMD Hawk Point-powered Envy X360 laptop lineup, and already one such model has dropped to $499.99 over at Best Buy, a 43% reduction from its MSRP.For that price, buyers are getting a 14-inch IPS touchscreen with a resolution of 1,920 × 1,200, although peak brightness is limited to just 300 nits.
Under the hood, there's an AMD Ryzen 5 8640HS processor with six Zen 4 cores boosting up to 4.9 GHz, joined by 16 GB of LPDDR5-6400 RAM and a 512 GB PCIe 4.0 SSD. Other features include a 5-megapixel webcam with IR and a built-in privacy shutter, as well as a 59 Wh battery that can charge at up to 65 W.
Moving on to connectivity, we're looking at two 10 Gbps USB-C ports (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort 1.4a), another couple of 10 Gbps USB-A, HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5 mm combo audio jack. Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 support is also included.
Lastly, the notebook's aluminum chassis measures 12.34 × 8.62 × 0.67 inches (313 × 219 × 17 mm) and tips the scales at 3.08 lbs (1.4 kg).
