With the announcement of watchOS 11, now may be the best time to buy an Apple Watch. Amazon is making that proposition more palatable with a sale dropping the Watch Series 9 to its lowest-ever price.

The Apple Watch Series 9 is Apple's latest wearable. The Series 9 features a bright display (up to 2000 nits) with a variety of methods for interaction, including swiping across the display, using the digital crown, and a new double tap feature that allows users to tap their forefinger and thumb twice in order to answer calls, stop timers, play and pause music, and more.

In our review of the Series 9, we highlighted the watch's excellent display and integration with Apple's ecosystem. We did note its battery life, while good, leaves a bit to be desired; the Watch Series 9 lasts about a day to a day and a half with the Always-On Display (AOD) active. It can push two days if the AOD is disabled. We also noted the Watch Series 9 is limited to WiFi 4, though this should be enough in day-to-day use.

Amazon is currently discounting the 41 mm Watch Series 9 25% down to $299, a $100 price cut that matches the wearable's lowest price on the retailer's website. The larger 45 mm version is discounted to $329, which also matches its lowest-ever price.
