Samsung refreshed the QN85C QLED 4K TV at CES 2024 with the launch of the Samsung Neo QLED 4K QN85D. Available in a range of sizes spanning from 55 to 85 inches, the Samsung QN85D packs Mini LED backlighting, the NQ4 AI Gen 2 chip to handle things like image upscaling, 4K@120 Hz support, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), and more. Thanks to a new discount, the 65, 75, and 85-inch Samsung QN85D have recorded steep price drops on Amazon.

For instance, the 65-inch Samsung QN85D is now available for only $1439.54 on Amazon, which is a record-low price for the TV per camelcamelcamel. The price cut has made the Samsung QN85D an excellent choice for budget-conscious buyers, as the TV enjoys a high review rating from RTINGS.

RTINGS rates the Samsung QN85D highly at 8.1 for “Mixed Usage”. The site notes that the Samsung QN85D is a “great TV overall” courtesy of its strong contrast, high SDR/HDR brightness, and useful gaming features like low input lag.

Going into a bit more detail, RTINGS’ testing reveals that the Samsung QN85D has a native contrast ratio of 5,537:1 which boosts to an excellent 136,667:1 with high local dimming.
