We didn't review this exact model, but we did have an in-depth look at the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 Gen 8. That also came with the Nvidia RTX 4060, and in our benchmarks, the GPU performed well. Paired with the AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS, it should let you play pretty much all games smoothly at 1080p and with all visual settings turned up.

As for the Ryzen 7 8845HS, we found it to be similar to the Ryzen 7 7840HS, but it does come with some enhancements. For example, it has the 2nd generation XDNA NPU, which can deliver up to 16 TOPS of AI performance. With that, the combined performance goes up to 38 TOPS, which can boost AI workloads but, unfortunately, is still not enough for the Copilot PC platform.

Besides that, the Legion Slim 5 Gen 9 does live up to its name. It's indeed one of the slimmest gaming laptops available in the market.
