It's time for ColorOS 14 and its Aquamorphic Design to start making way for the software skin's next generation. OPPO's latest take on Android is said to improve on its predecessor in terms of fine, yet potentially important, details such as its lockscreens.
ColorOS 15 has also been found to support new "3D-detail" wallpapers and animations with a "real-time Gaussian blur" effect. It is reportedly augmented with a new, dedicated control center as well as OPPO's take on theDynamic Island, which has been received as information-rich yet clear and concise.
The software upgrade is currently only available to owners of the Find X7-series flagships sold in the Chinese market, or the OnePlus 12 (which runs ColorOS instead of OxygenOS in that region) as a beta.
Then again, enthusiasts in possession of those eligible devices might be advised that, for all its insight into next-gen software experiences, the initial preview build is apparently riddled with bugs.
ColorOS 15 is slated to come out of the box with OPPO's reportedly upcoming third-gen flagship tablet as well as with the members of the upcoming Find X8 series of next-gen flagship Android smartphones.
Meanwhile, the new Pixel 9 series is now available to pre-order on Amazon.
