The RedMagic Titan 16 Pro is the gaming smartphone manufacturer Nubia's first foray into the world of gaming laptops. The result is a mid-range gaming laptop whose power is delivered by Raptor Lake and Ada Lovelace in the shape of a Core i9-14900HX and a GeForce RTX 4060. You can buy the version we tested for US$1,699. Other variants are not available.
The combination consisting of Core i9 and a GeForce RTX 4060 equips the laptop for all demanding fields of use—such as video editing, rendering and gaming. Its CPU has access to 16 GB RAM (DDR5-5600, single-channel mode). We would recommend installing a second memory module in order to activate dual-channel mode, which lets you use the hardware to its full potential.
The hardware manages to smoothly depict all of the latest games on the laptop's screen. In general, you can use its full resolution (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) and high to maximum settings. The laptop's bright, true-color IPS display (16 inches, 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, 240 Hz, G-Sync, DCI-P3), which features a work-friendly 16:10 aspect ratio, left a good impression on us in total.
A fast PCIe 4 SSD delivers the required storage capacity (1 TB) and ensures that loading times are kept short. If you run out of storage, then you can add more: The laptop has space for a second, M.2-2280 SSD. The device's weaknesses include emissions that are too high. Its battery life also won't break any world records.
