Bethesda has just announced the DOOM Anthology - a collection celebrating over 30 years of the iconic first-person shooter franchise. Available on October 22, 2024, for all major gaming platforms, this anthology includes all six titles: DOOM II, DOOM 64, DOOM 3, DOOM (2016), DOOM Eternal Deluxe Edition, and the game that started it all - DOOM (1993). It was also the first game to use 3D graphics and advanced sound effects in its genre.
Those who order the anthology will get a SteelBook case and a 5-inch LED-lit BFG replica from the game. Each DOOM title has left an indelible mark on the gaming scene, with era-defining gameplay and iconic weapons. The anthology has expansions like "Thy Flesh Consumed" from DOOM (1993). The Deluxe Edition further includes the online, asymmetrical multiplayer BATTLE MODE, plus the two "Ancient Gods" expansions, a Demonic Slayer Skin and Classic Weapon Sound Pack.
The DOOM Anthology will be available on multiple platforms, unlike the Fallout Anthology Pack that dropped back in February 2024 (which makes sense because the first 3 Fallout games are only on PC). Players will still need to download the game using the key codes in the Steelbook. As of now, the DOOM Anthology's status is 'currently unavailable' on Amazon. Here are the links for Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and PC editions. You can place an order via the Bethesda Gear websiteas well, but please note - the company explicitly states shipping is expected to kick off in November 2024.
