The Argus 4 Pro from Reolink is now available. It is a surveillance camera that can be used completely without cables. Data is transmitted via WiFi, as is now quite common with inexpensive security cameras. The 2.4 and 5 GHz bands are supported. A rechargeable battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh is integrated, which can be charged by a solar panel; the supplied Reolink Solar Panel 2 has an output of six watts.

The camera is only equipped with one lens, but should still be able to cover a particularly large area. The specially shaped lens provides 180° horizontal coverage and 50° vertical coverage. The resolution is specified as 5,120 x 1,440 and video can be recorded at 15 frames per second.

The Argus 4 Pro is available in two different variants. The model with ColorX night vision comes at a price of $212.99. In this case, an additional F/1.0 lens is installed in order to allow color images to be taken in very low light without illumination. The standard version costs around $23 less. LED lighting is also available, which can be used to scare away unwanted visitors, for example. A PIR sensor is used to activate the camera in the event of movement. Motion zones can be defined.

Communication with people in front of the camera is also possible. Images can be stored not only in the cloud, but also on a memory card. Lastly, FTP is supported.
