The Aqara Light Switch H2 EU has been spotted. The upcoming smart home product was found on the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) website and is listed under Lumi United Technology Co., Ltd, which owns the Aqara brand.
The EU version of the Aqara Light Switch H2 will be Matter-compatible, meaning it can be used with many smart home ecosystems. This is an upgrade compared to the Zigbee 3.0 wireless communication protocol for the older Aqara Smart Wall Switch H1. The CSA product page provides an image of the new accessory, which appears to have four buttons across two rockers. Unfortunately, the listing does not reveal further details about the device.
The H2 will likely be controllable via the Aqara Home app, available for iOS and Android. It could be that the H2 offers features similar to the H1, such as the ability to set a timer, power consumption monitoring, and protection against issues like overheating. It remains to be seen when the Aqara Light Switch H2 EU, or versions for other markets like the US, will launch and at what price. As an indication, the Aqara Smart Wall Switch H1 retails for around £35.99/€38.95.
