Golden Pig Upgrade, a well-known leaker from Weibo, has revealed what AMD's entire Strix Halo lineup looks like. It comes with three SKUs and a new naming scheme with 'bigger numbers' as previously predicted. Here's what it looks like:
As its name suggests, the Ryzen AI Max 395 will be the flagship model, complete with 16 Zen 5 CPU cores spread out across two CPUs, and a 40 CU RDNA 3.5 GPU. This is the flagship SKU that will find itself in high-end laptops.
Next up, the Ryzen AI Max 390 comes with 12 cores and a 40 CU iGPU. Lastly, the Ryzen AI Max 385 packs 8 CPU cores and a 32 CU iGPU. This model may have shown up on Geekbench earlier this year provided these are the three models that debut initially.
The leaker also states Strix Halo can use use up to 96 GB VRAM of the maximum 128 GB (256-bit LPDDR5X-8000). This, of course, will be reserved for top-spec enterprise-grade models and might not trickle down to the consumer segment. For now, we know of one confirmed product that comes with Strix Halo silicon, Asus' ROG Flow Z13.
