While Amazon Ads has been using generative AI for a while now, there is always room for improvement in this field, and they have just added a new AI video generator, as well as a live image capability. The new features come at no cost and can be used to create videos based on a single image.
According to Amazon, the video generator "curates custom AI-generated videos tailored to a product's distinct selling proposition and features, leveraging Amazon's unique insights to vividly bring a product story to life" and everything it needs is a single image of the product in question. The live image feature, on the other hand, comes as part of the new AI-powered image generatorand also aims produce visuals that improve ad performance.
A recent study by Wyzowl, quoted by Amazon, revealed that no less than 89% of consumers want to see more video content from their favorite brands. Unsurprisingly, the merchants often bump into the time and cost barriers, which are now being crushed by AI-powered tools like Amazon's new video and image generators. For now, these tools are both in beta stage and can only be tried out by select US advertisers. Based on their feedback, some adjustments will be made and additional users and markets will gain access.
