Users of the Amazfit Balance are being invited to test a new version of the Zepp app. This beta testing program was announced in a recent post on Facebook, where a member of the Amazfit team shared a sign-up form.
Amazfit asks that Balance smartwatch users who take part in the testing provide feedback via the app. On the form, it also warns customers to expect “incomplete features, bugs, or other unforeseen software issues”. Amazfit has yet to officially announce the changes with this latest version of the app. However, a couple of early testers have already shared their thoughts on the redesigned app, alongside screenshots (below).
It appears that the new app has a simpler design, which should make navigation easier. Plus, there is a new meal logging feature: you can now upload a picture of your meal to the app, where AI is used to work out what you are eating and log your nutrition accordingly. It is unclear whether or when users of other Amazfit smartwatch models will be invited to the beta program. It also remains to be seen when the refreshed Zepp app will roll out publically.
