Philips Hue has recently launched new smart Slim recessed lights in Europe. The company suggests that the product could work well in many areas of your home, with its thin profile and black or white frames helping it to blend into the ceiling. Plus, they could be handy in rooms with a false ceiling, like a basement or bathroom.

The Slim recessed lights are available in two sizes, 90mm and 170mm. The products offer white or colored light generating up to 1,000 and 1,150 lumens brightness for each size. Philips Hue indicates that the beam of light has a wide angle of 105°, diffusing across a larger area of your room. However, it is worth noting that the head angle is fixed, not adjustable. You can wirelessly dim and change the lighting colour via the Philips Hue app, with Bluetooth and Zigbee connectivity.

The lights come with a two-year warranty and are expected to last for up to 35,000 hours. The Energy Efficiency class is E, with the power output at 8.3. Philips Hue Slim recessed lights White and Color Ambiance in 90mm and 170mm are now available for €89.99 and €109.99, respectively. The company has also recently launched the new Hue Solo lightstrip, which is already available atAmazon.
