Our last report on the OnePlus 13 revealed some information on the camera hardware upgrades the flagship phone looks set to get when it debuts later this year. A new leak has now thrown even more light on the subject.
As revealed by Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus 13 in its current state is being tested with a LYT808 main camera. That's the same sensor used on the main camera of the OnePlus 12 (buy on Amazon), so it appears the OnePlus 13 will not be getting a notable upgrade in that department.
For zoom, however, the OnePlus 13 seemingly adopts the 50 MP IMX882. At a 1/1.95-inch size, the IMX882 is a tad larger than the 1/2-inch OV64B beneath the OnePlus 12's 3x periscope lens. The IMX882 makes another appearance, but beneath the OnePlus 13's ultra-wide angle lens, replacing the 1/2-inch IMX581 on the OnePlus 12.
All of that considered, it's evident the OnePlus 13 will not offer any significant camera upgrades over the OnePlus 12. According to the source, though, the improvements on the next-gen phone will be in the battery and display departments instead.
