Samsung is not expected to officially reveal the Galaxy Z Flip6 until July 10. In the meantime, Motorola has presented the Razr 50 Ultra, a direct successor to the Razr 40 Ultra (curr. $649.99 on Amazon) that will likely reach North America as the Razr Plus 2024. At any rate, the Razr 50 Ultra could well be the most powerful clamshell around for the moment thanks to its Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, which also powers the Edge 50 Ultra.

Additionally, Motorola equips the Razr 50 Ultra with 4-inch cover and 6.9-inch internal displays. According to the company's specification sheet, both displays rely upon on pOLED panels that have 165 Hz refresh rates and 1080p resolutions. Like the Razr 50, the Razr 50 Ultra's internal display peaks at 3,000 nits, but only when viewing HDR content.

Moreover, the Razr 50 Ultra possesses 32 MP internal and 50 MP primary cameras, just like its cheaper sibling. With that being said, Motorola has included a 50 MP telephoto camera too that the Razr 50 lacks. For reference, the telephoto camera delivers 2x optical zoom and has a 1/1.95-inch optical format, just like the device's primary camera.

Furthermore, Motorola has equipped the handset with a 4,000 mAh battery that supports 45 W wired and 15 W wireless charging. Currently, the IPx8 certified device is exclusive to China, where it starts at CNY 5,699 (~$784) with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. While Motorola is expected to release the Razr 50 Ultra globally later today, there is no guarantee that all its Chinese memory configurations will be available internationally.
