More details about the launch of the Garmin Fenix 8, Fenix E and Enduro 3 smartwatches have emerged. Earlier rumors indicated that the models would arrive before IFA 2024 which starts on September 6th; Garmin has confirmed that it is not attending the event.
Now, a Best Buy Live Agent in conversation with Reddit user u/d-shpeegz has suggested that the Garmin Fenix 8 will be released on August 27th. This is earlier than the September 4th to September 6th launch dates recently spotted on the Garmin Ukraine website. A second conversation shared by Garmin Rumors, presumably with a different Best Buy Live Agent, corroborated this date and stated that the Fenix E and Enduro 3 would be released simultaneously.
On top of this, the live chat screenshots confirm various details of these three models. The Fenix 8, available in 43mm, 47mm and 51mm sizes, will have an AMOLED display. Customers will be able to choose from various colors and a stainless steel or titanium finish. The cheaper Fenix E, or Fenix 8 E, is said to have an AMOLED display, which goes against earlier rumors. Again, different colors and stainless steel or DLC-coated steel materials will be offered. According to the conversation, the Enduro 3 will have an MIP display, like the Enduro 2, which should enhance the smartwatch’s battery life, and the watch casing will be available in stainless steel or titanium. Whether the information provided by these Best Buy representatives is accurate remains to be seen.
