Deal | Alienware AW2725DF 1,000 nits, 360 Hz, 1440p, OLED gaming monitor drops to record low price in Amazon sale

Recently, a number of spectacular Alienware gaming monitors have been discounted at Amazon, and the AlienwareAW2725DF is the latest to receive the Amazon sale treatment. For the duration of the Amazon sale, theAW2725DF is discounted by 23%, bringing the final price on Amazon to $690.46.Thanks to the high frame rate, reasonable resolution, and 1,000-nit brightness, theAW2725DF is well-suited for any gamer playing a mix of AAA sightseeing games and high-frame-rate gaming.

The 360 Hz refresh rate may not be achievable in some games, and in cases like those, AMD's FreeSync Premium Pro can sync the monitor's refresh rate to the game FPS, with Low Framerate Compensation eliminating tearing, even at very low refresh rates.

The AlienwareAW2725DF is a 27-inch OLED gaming monitor with a QD-OLED panel, giving it several advantages over traditional OLED panels, including higher peak brightness and better colour saturation at higher brightness levels. In our review of the Alienware AW2725DF, we found it to have excellent colour reproduction, with 100% sRGB, 98.2% Display P3, and 93.9% AdobeRGB 1998 coverage. Colour accuracy was also respectable, with a colour Delta-E value of 4.89 before calibration and 2.06 after calibration.

We measured peak brightness of around 250 nits in standard mode, with DisplayHDR True Black mode was able to push the brightness up to 430 nits at 10% APL and 993 nits at 2% APL. The brightness is, therefore, plenty for highlights in games that support HDR games, but it would be unreasonable to expect that sort of brightness across the entire display, in this instance.

We also noted in our review of theAW2725DF that, although the monitor's case is plastic, it is still robust and creak-free. The display stand features toolless assembly, and has height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustment, so it should fit just about anywhere on a desk or in a multi-monitor setup.

To mitigate burn-in, the AlienwareAW2725DF uses Pixel Refresh and Panel Refresh, which run automatically during standby every four hours and 1,500 hours, respectively. Pixel Refresh is meant to reduce temporary image retention across the display, while Panel Refresh addresses permanent retention and can take a little longer to complete.

Check out the AlienwareAW2725DF 27-inch, 1440p, 360 Hz gaming monitor for $690.46 while the Amazon sale lasts.
