In the "End of Time" mission, you finally find your assassin Ygwulf. At this point, you have three choices: forgive him, kill him, or force him to confess. Each choice has different rewards and consequences for the story.

Select one: Kill Ygwulf

If you choose to kill Ygwulf, you will immediately have an uphill battle with him and his allies. It's a harder path, but it brings unique rewards:

• Black Winged Armor: A powerful stealth-based suit, with 30% increased stealth attack damage and 25% increased movement speed when crouching.
• You will get a warning from the dissident, not the pass, which will make the rebels hostile to you.

Select 2: Force Ygwulf to confess

convince Ygwulf to admit that the steel noose is the worst option in terms of rewards. If you do this:

• Ygwulf will be executed.
• The rebels will kill Garryck in the Southern Hug as revenge.
• You will get warnings from dissenters like you kill Ygwulf yourself.
• No unique equipment rewards like the other two options.

"Best"Please": Forgive Ygwulf

Forgive Ygwulf is usually the best option, especially if you want to support the rebels against the corruption of steel noose. Choosing this path will give you:

• A piece of adra, a rare upgrade material.
• The pass from Stecg allows you to safely enter rebel-controlled areas such as the riverside caves on the Emerald Steps.
• There is a greater chance of cooperating with the rebels later in the game.

Final summary

If you want the best long-term benefit, forgive Ygwulf and get a pass to make it easier to get into the rebel area. If you prefer a battle-oriented approach, killing him can get a powerful set of stealth armor. Forced confession is of little benefit and can have a negative impact on both factions.
