Xiaomi apparently believes that there is a market for relatively compact Android tablets on which the user can game for at least 6 hours straight, because it has allegedly included that feature in at least 1 of its next-gen slates.
The upcoming "super long battery life" tablet will also sport an OLED display of a class-leading 3K resolution with eye-protection features, backed up by the potentially advanced haptics of a "dual X-axis linear motor" system.
Xiaomi might also reinforce these slates with Dragon Crystal Glass, its own in-house answer to Corning Gorilla Glass, yet ensure they deliver a "lightweight" experience.
Then again, where the next-gen tablets will truly stand out from (most of) the crowd will be in their ability to support not 1 but 2 USB-C ports, although one might be dedicated to pass-through charging, as with the now-defunct Legion-brand gaming smartphones.
The notorious leaker Digital Chat Station also asserts that the tablets will launch with "contemporary" silicon, cooled to an "extreme" degree with features such as the next big thing in vapor chambers for tablets.
Should these slates truly be in the works, they could be unleashed as upcoming additions to the Xiaomi Pad series (such as this Wi-Fi only Pad 6 on Amazon), or as devices from the OEM's other brands such as Redmi or even POCO in the future.
