The start of a brand-new story in Final Fantasy XIV is here and players are finally able to cross the ocean and experience Dawntrail. However, before you do so there are a few things you may have to take care of. So let’s brave a new world and figure out how to start the Dawntrail main quest in FFXIV

Where to start the Dawntrail quest in Final Fantasy 14

Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail takes place in the new region of Tural, found on the far eastern side of Eorzea. With so many new things coming with the expansion, you may be able to get a free phial of Fantasia. But if you just want to jump straight into the new story content, you’ll find the start of the Dawntrail quest A New World to Explore in Old Sharlayan (X: 9.2, Y: 11.2) from the NPC Ojika Tsunjika.

If you make it through the queues on release but still can’t find the quest, there are a few prerequisites you have to complete before starting the Dawntrail main quest. For starters, you must of course make sure that you are level 90 with any Disciple of War or Magic job.

Second and most importantly, you must complete the Endwalker expansion, as well as every story quest from the subsequent patches 6.1-6.55. The last quest you will need to complete before starting Dawntrail is the quest The Coming Dawn from G’raha Tia. With all of that completed, you are free to journey across the sea and start the next adventure for the Scions.
